Meth Or Glazed Doughnut? Orlando Police Can't Tell

Orlando Police Mistake Man’s Glazed Doughnut For Meth: Lawsuits Ensue

Okay, so apparently Orlando Police have never gotten the memo on how their profession and doughnut jokes go hand-in-hand because they — and the city — are now being sued for mistaking residue from a glazed doughnut for meth.

That’s right. The boys in blue arrested Daniel Rushing last year for possession of methamphetamine, only to find later that it was from a sugary treat. Naturally, Rushing is directing his litigious ire at the department as well as the company behind the drug-testing kit that was used to create the false positive, according to WISHTV.

Just to address the elephant in the room here, you would think that, as law enforcement officers, they would have enough Krispy Kreme experience to tell the difference. But alas not. Seriously, guys, what are they teaching you at the academy these days?
