Facebook Like Arrest: No Contact Means No Contact

Boca Raton Man Jailed For Facebook ‘Like’ … And Yeah, He Sorta Had It Coming

Careful with that Like button, Facebookers! It could get your ass thrown in jail. That’s what happened to a Boca Raton man when he clicked “Like” on an ex-girlfriend’s post. Of course, full disclosure here: it didn’t help he was on bond for a fatal hit-and-run.

Paul Maida, Jr., saw a photo his ex had posted and clicked “Like,” presumably because their love will never die. Judge Krista Marx pounced on the opportunity and sent Maida back to the clink for violating a court order “to avoid any contact with his ex-girlfriend … a key prosecution witness in the DUI manslaughter case against Maida,” NewsNet 5 reports.

You had to know it was only a matter of time before something like this occurred, Florida. And you probably also knew it would be one of our own popping the stupid cherry. No contact of any kind, losers. Facebook counts.
